Auntie Augie is my favorite aunt. I followed her everywherewhen I was little because she was so much fun. I followed her as I got olderbecause her brand of fun almost always led to trouble. Where one went, theother followed… until Aunt Rosie made the whole family disappear. That left mealone and defenseless in a town full of people who have been mad at the Reyesfamily at least once or twice over the years.

Right now, Auntie Augie is the target. Addison “Addie”Powell, President of the Misery Ladies’ Guild, has always had it out for her. Theirrivalry began when they were in grade school. Auntie Augie moved away afterhigh school and returned twenty years later, only to discover Addie stilldidn’t like her. It didn’t matter, though. Auntie Augie never really cared whatothers thought of her… until Addie told the women of the Misery Ladies’ Guildthat Auntie Augie stole the money they were saving for a group cruiseadventure.

Now, Auntie Augie is missing—kind of, sort of. She’s yetanother victim of Aunt Rosie’s spell debacle. I made Aunt Rosie reappear, butneither of us know how or if we’ll ever be able to bring Auntie Augie back todefend herself, so we’ll have to step in and prove she did nothing wrong.

Can we do it before the rumor mill gets out of control andruins Auntie Augie’s reputation?
